Islamabad: A delegation representing employee associations from federal hospitals convened with senior officials of the Ministry of National Health Services on Friday to address concerns surrounding the Health Risk Allowance and the challenges faced by healthcare personnel. The delegation called for the immediate restoration of the allowance, which has been frozen since 2014.
The representatives stressed the urgency of reinstating the Health Risk Allowance, citing the ongoing impact of inflation on healthcare workers. They appealed to the federal government to recognize the financial difficulties that medical staff endure and to act swiftly to alleviate these burdens.
In response, senior officials from the Ministry of Health expressed their support for the employees’ demands. They assured the delegation of their commitment to facilitating discussions with the Ministry of Finance to expedite a resolution.
