Islamabad: Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, has highlighted significant federal investment aimed at supporting the farmer community in Balochistan, with a particular focus on converting tube-wells to solar energy.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an interview with PTV, Minister Sheikh detailed the government’s financial commitments which include extensive funds provided to assist farmers in adopting solar energy solutions. This initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce dependency on traditional power sources and to enhance agricultural efficiency in the region.
Furthermore, the Minister noted that both the federal and Punjab governments have allocated substantial resources to provide relief in the electricity sector across the provinces. He emphasized that all available resources are being utilized to facilitate the populace, with funds also being distributed to provinces through the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, ensuring a broad-reaching impact on provincial development and support.
