Islamabad: In a significant meeting held at the Finance Division today, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb engaged with Mr. Scott Jacobs, Managing Director of Jacobs, Cordova and Associates, to deliberate on enhancing Pakistan’s regulatory environment to boost entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment.
According to Ministry of Finance, the discussions focused on a proposal by Mr. Jacobs to overhaul the regulatory system, which includes a comprehensive review and standardization of processes to foster economic growth. The meeting, attended by the Secretary Board of Investment and officials from relevant ministries and divisions, highlighted the need for structured regulatory reforms.
Senator Aurangzeb emphasized the critical role of impact-driven assistance in the successful implementation of these reforms. The talks also pinpointed specific areas in need of urgent reform to streamline operations and improve the regulatory framework, reflecting a mutual commitment to a systematic approach towards enhancing Pakistan’s business climate.
