Federal Cabinet Denounces Assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran

Islamabad: In a significant response to recent events, the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan has strongly condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran. The cabinet convened today under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the cabinet’s condemnation was accompanied by a nationwide appeal to conduct “Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza” (a funeral prayer in absentia) for Haniyeh following the Jumma prayers this week. This gesture reflects the government’s solidarity with the deceased and his followers amidst this international incident.
