FCDO Consultants Briefs Secretary Specialized Healthcare on Health Insurance

Lahore, August 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):DFID-Foreign Common Wealth and Development Office consultants called on Secretary Specialized Healthcare Muhammad Aamir Jan today at his office. The consultants led by Muhammad Haseeb, Afeef and Ainul Momina briefed the participants of the meeting chaired by Secretary Specialized Healthcare about universal health insurance in detail.

The meeting was attended among others by Additional Secretary Development Dr Asif Tufail, CEO PHIMC Dr Ali Razzaq and Deputy Secretary Staff Dr Asad Ch. Muhammad Aamir Jan said that so far as 289 private hospitals are empanelled on universal health insurance in the province in a bid to provide better healthcare to people of Punjab. He further said that these private hospitals have capacity of 21,000 beds and our target of 60,000 beds in public and private hospitals would be achieved by end of this year. Secretary Specialized Healthcare said that all citizenry data would be registered by December 2021 for providing UHI facilities to the people.
