FBR to Appoint Dedicated Court Representative, Aims for Swift Case Resolution

Islamabad, In an effort to expedite the resolution of tax-related cases, Minister of Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar announced that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will appoint a full-time departmental representative for court proceedings. This move is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of handling tax cases, ensuring they are concluded promptly.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this decision was made during a meeting chaired by Minister Tarar focused on tax reforms and improving tax collection mechanisms. By nominating a dedicated representative to oversee court cases, the FBR intends to streamline legal processes, mitigate delays, and prevent the adjournment of cases.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to reforming the country’s tax system, ensuring legal disputes are managed more effectively, and contributing to the overall improvement of tax administration and enforcement.
