FBR Engages Trade Unions to Enhance Tajir Dost Scheme Implementation

Islamabad, In a significant step towards addressing the concerns of the business community, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) met with representatives from various Trade Unions in Pakistan, discussing the implementation of the Tajir Dost Scheme. The meeting focused on fostering better cooperation and addressing the hesitations of traders regarding taxation under the new scheme.

According to Press Information Department, during the meeting, concerns about the lack of clear guidelines and incentives for registering under the Tajir Dost Scheme were highlighted by the trade representatives, pointing to the need for more straightforward tax regulations and benefits to encourage participation.

The FBR officials, including the Chief Coordinator Naeem Mir, agreed to review a unified proposal from the Trade Unions, expected within a week, aimed at improving the registration and taxation processes for traders. This meeting underscored the FBR’s commitment to enhancing tax compliance and fostering a supportive environment for the growth of trade and commerce across Pakistan.
