FBR Conducts Massive Raid, Seizes 16 Million Non-Duty Paid Cigarettes

ISLAMABAD, In a significant operation against the proliferation of Non-Duty paid and Counterfeit cigarettes, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has undertaken a remarkable 429 raids on Saturday, leading to the confiscation of approximately 16 million illicit cigarette sticks.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the day-long operation spanned the entire country and was meticulously overseen by the Member Inland Revenue Operations, Mir Badshah Khan Wazir. Wazir highlighted the operation’s success as a stern warning to all duty evaders to desist from their illegal activities. He strongly affirmed the board’s resolution to persistently tackle the problem and stated that subsequent stages of the campaign would see the initiation of criminal proceedings against the offenders.
