FBR Chairman Unveils New Regional Tax Office in Islamabad

Islamabad, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, officially inaugurated the new building of the Regional Tax Office in Islamabad on Thursday, marking a significant step toward modernizing the nation’s tax administration system.

According to Press Information Department, during the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Tiwana expressed that the new building symbolizes FBR’s commitment to creating a more efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-friendly system. He highlighted the advanced facilities equipped with modern technology designed to enhance taxpayer services and streamline tax collection processes. The establishment of this office is part of FBR’s broader strategy to promote tax compliance and foster trust between tax authorities and citizens.

In his address, Tiwana also acknowledged the economic challenges facing the country, emphasizing the critical role of maximizing revenue collection for economic prosperity. He called on FBR officers to maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in their duties. Appreciation was extended to the Member Administration/HR, the Chief Projects officer, their teams, and Pak PWD for their efforts in the successful completion of this project. Additionally, Ms. Sadia Sadaf Gilani, Member Admin/HR, and Mr. Abid Mehmood, Chief Commissioner RTO Islamabad, spoke at the event, where Chief Projects Mr. Shahid Soomro provided an overview of the planning and design of the new facility.
