FBISE Announces HSSC Results, Launches New Technical Education Stream

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has officially released the results for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part I-II and various Technical Education programs on August 13, 2024. This announcement was made during an event hosted by the Ministry of Federal Education and Vocational Training.

According to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training announcement issued on 13 August 2024, this year marks a significant milestone for FBISE as it introduced the Inter-Tech stream of technical education for the first time. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, highlighted this development as a pioneering effort to promote technical education across Pakistan.

The introduction of the Inter-Tech stream has already shown promising results, with the number of technical institutes affiliated with FBISE rising to 183 in just eighteen months. Furthermore, the student enrollment in these programs has surged dramatically, from none to over 7,000.

The ministry’s senior officials, including Federal Secretary for Education Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani and Senior Joint Secretary/Chairman of the Federal Board Syed Junaid Akhlaq, have expressed their commitment to further enhancing technical education initiatives, recognizing their critical role in the country’s future development.
