Islamabad, November 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain has felicitated PTV on its 57th anniversary. In a tweet, he said the leading industrialist of Pakistan Syed Wajid Ali entrusted the task to Engineer Ubaidullah to establish a private television.
The Minister said former President Mohammad Ayub Khan was so impressed with the idea that he took it under the patronage of the government. He said Ubaidullah and his team laid the foundation of the PTV in a tent at Radio Pakistan.
