Fatal Road Accident in Ganderbal Claims Five Lives, Including Four from Kerala

Srinagar, A tragic road accident in the Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including the vehicle’s driver. The incident occurred near the Zojila Pass on the Srinagar-Leh highway.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the vehicle, carrying at least seven passengers, veered off the road and plunged into a gorge. Officials confirmed that four of the deceased were from the Indian state of Kerala, along with the vehicle’s driver. The accident also left two other passengers with minor injuries.

In a separate incident in the Poonch district, a 30-year-old woman, identified as Parveen Begum, tragically lost her life after falling off a ridge while collecting firewood in the Mandi area. These incidents highlight the ongoing safety challenges in the region, particularly on treacherous mountain roads.

The loss of lives in these accidents underscores the need for enhanced road safety measures and precautions in challenging terrains.
