Farooq Abdullah Criticizes BJP’s Disconnect with Public Concerns

Srinagar, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for neglecting the issues facing the common people in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, accusing the party of sowing division and fear among communities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during an election rally held at Hazratbal in Srinagar, Abdullah claimed the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, was fostering fear among Hindus by using divisive tactics. He highlighted inflammatory rhetoric suggesting that Hindu traditions, such as mangalsutras, were under threat from the Muslim community. Abdullah questioned these tactics rhetorically, asking if Muslims were perceived as so malevolent as to threaten Hindu familial symbols.

The rally later transitioned into a car rally led by Dr. Farooq, which moved through various areas of the constituency including Pampore. Abdullah continued his outreach by making several stops, engaging with constituents throughout the area.
