Islamabad, June 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique says fares of passenger trains are not being increased to facilitate travellers of low-income group. Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Tuesday, he said fares of freight trains would be increased to fifteen percent and ten percent of Express trains. He said that when in past, he took over the charge of Pakistan Railways at that time the revenue of the department was eighteen billion rupees and the deficit was of more than thirty-two billion rupees.
