Family of missing student holds demo in Srinagar, seeks help in tracing him

Srinagar, December 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the family members and relatives of a student, who went missing at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar, today, seeking his whereabouts. The student, Masroor Abbas Mir, a resident of Bohripora area of Sopore town of Baramulla district went missing on Thursday. He had had left his hostel at 8 am for the school on Thursday, but did not reach there.

The family members and relatives of Masroor Abbas Mir, a 10th standard student at AMU, held a massive protest demonstration in Srinagar. The protestors sought intervention of authorities to ensure the safety and return of Masroor. “We tried to seek his whereabouts from his colleagues and school authorities but nobody is aware where he is,” a family member said. The family has also lodged a missing report in the concerned police station.
