Islamabad, In a significant shift from its secular foundations, India, under the influence of the RSS-BJP nexus, is now facing allegations of becoming a major threat to its minority communities.
According to Kashmir Media Service, political experts and analysts have expressed concern over the treatment of minorities in India, especially in light of the recent inauguration of the Ram Temple, which was built on the site of the demolished Babri Masjid. The event, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is seen as emblematic of the broader challenges facing minorities in India, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Dalits, and other low-caste Hindus.
These communities are reportedly experiencing increased persecution, both psychologically and physically, under state sponsorship. The experts point out that systematic oppression has become more pronounced during the BJP’s tenure, with violence, intimidation, and harassment against minorities becoming increasingly common.
The rising incidents of attacks on minorities in various Indian states, including Manipur, Punjab, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh, are cited as evidence of India’s departure from its democratic ideals. The experts assert that minorities are living in fear due to the discriminatory policies of the Modi-led government, which they describe as fascist and backed by the RSS.
Furthermore, the analysts call upon the international community to recognize the dire situation of minorities in India and to take action to ensure their basic human rights are protected.
