Islamabad, November 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Science and Technology, Shibli Faraz says use of Electronic Voting Machines is vital for ensuring transparent, free, fair, and credible elections in the country. Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday evening, he urged the opposition to submit its suggestions to Election Commission of Pakistan regarding the use of EVMs as it has become a law now.
He said the ministry of Science and Technology has manufactured an EVM as a concept machine in line with the requirements of the ECP. He said it is prerogative of the ECP to either order locally manufactured machines or import EVMs from abroad.
