Lahore, December 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Akhtar Javaid, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department moved a draft of Punjab Public Defender Service Bill which has been approved by the provincial cabinet. This law will enable the accessibility of legal aid in criminal cases to the indigent persons of the province. A milestone to achieve the equality of rights in society, as also guaranteed in Article 37-D of the Constitution, has about to attain, Mr. Akhtar Javaid added. Soon, the bill will be presented before the provincial assembly of the Punjab.
