Islamabad: In a formal ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr, envoys from Vietnam, Maldives, and Ireland presented their diplomatic credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari. The event marked the beginning of their official duties in Pakistan, with each envoy having individual meetings with the President to discuss bilateral relations.
According to Press Information Department, President Zardari welcomed the new ambassadors and high commissioners, expressing optimism for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and their respective countries. He emphasized Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen trade, economic, and investment ties across various sectors including agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and technology.
The President highlighted the potential for boosting bilateral trade and invited further investments in Pakistan’s diverse economic sectors. The ceremony also featured a guard of honor by the Pakistan Armed Forces, underscoring the importance of the event and the diplomatic relationships it seeks to bolster.
