Karachi, In anticipation of the upcoming Easter celebrations, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has mandated rigorous and coordinated security measures throughout Sindh to ensure the safety of the Christian community. This decision underscores the commitment to protect all citizens during significant religious festivities.

According to Sindh Police, IG Memon emphasized the necessity of solidifying security across various locations including central churches, residential areas of the Christian community, missionary schools, and other institutions involved in Easter events. The approach involves close collaboration with the management and organizers of these places to ensure that the security measures are both effective and respectful of the religious significance of Easter.

The directive also includes detailed operational plans such as regular supervision by district SSPs, SPs, and SDPOs, alongside continuous patrolling, picketing, snap checking, reconnaissance, and monitoring in all relevant areas. This comprehensive strategy aims to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents during the celebrations.
