Enforcement Directorate Arrests Two Youths in Jammu on Charges of Pro-Freedom Activities


Srinagar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), a key investigative body in India, has detained two youths in Jammu under allegations related to pro-freedom activities, marking another significant development in the tense region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the individuals, identified as Arshad Ahmed Ali and Fayaz Ahmed Dar, were apprehended by the ED and subsequently presented before a special court in Jammu. The court has ordered a five-day custody for both, highlighting the ongoing crackdown on activities the Indian authorities deem as threats to national security. The arrests and quick judicial response underline the stringent measures being enforced in the region amidst growing local and international scrutiny over human rights and civil liberties.
