Karachi, In response to reports of students suffering during their matriculation exams due to frequent power outages, Energy Minister Nasir Shah has mandated uninterrupted electricity supply at all examination centers. The decision aims to prevent further incidents where students have fainted, ensuring a stable environment for exams amidst extreme heat conditions.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah expressed his displeasure over the distressing incidents and has issued directives to the Sindh Energy Department to coordinate with K Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO. These utilities are expected to comply strictly with the new mandate to exempt all examination centers from load shedding during the ongoing examination period.
Minister Shah emphasized the critical need for reliable power to facilitate a conducive exam environment and prevent any further health risks to students caused by the heatwave and power cuts. The move is seen as a crucial step in safeguarding the well-being of students and maintaining the integrity of the examination process in the region.
