Jammu, October 14, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the government employees from various departments held a strong protest demonstration in support of their pending demands.
A large number of employees under the banner of J and K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee–R, led by Babu Hussain Malik and accompanied by senior trade union leaders assembled near Press Club, Jammu, and held a strong protest demonstration in support of pending demands of the employees and temporary workers.
They were demanding regularization of all type of daily wagers and consolidated workers, including teachers, lecturers and others. They also raised loud slogans against the authorities.
Meanwhile, members of civil society of Kishtwar joined by scores of people staged a peaceful protest demonstration against the district and hospital authorities of Kishtwar for non-availability of CT scan in district hospital Kishtwar due to its malfunctioning.
Social activist, Naseer Ahmed Baghwan said that at the time when COVID-19 cases and accidents are rampant in Kishtwar and frequent earthquakes have made the life of people miserable, not a single CT scan machine has been functional in the district hospital Kishtwar. ‘People are suffering on daily basis due to lack of basic necessities in district Kishtwar,” lamented another activist Arshad Hussain Giri.
