Emergency Declared in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Address Security Concerns

Islamabad: The Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, announced the imposition of an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing confidence that the security situation would soon return to normalcy. The federal government aims to eliminate terrorism in the region, focusing on restoring peace without political motives.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry emphasized that the federal government’s priority is to address the security challenges, making every possible effort to stabilize the region quickly. He stated that the emergency was declared solely to curb terrorism and not to establish a political advantage.

Chaudhry criticized the provincial government for allegedly failing to meet its responsibilities, suggesting that it had manipulated the security situation for political gains. The federal government, he asserted, is committed to restoring order without any political agenda.
