Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels Showcases Kashmir’s Plight Through Photo Exhibition

BRUSSELS, A photo exhibition titled “Kashmir Black Day” was inaugurated at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels today, depicting what is termed by the organizers as “India’s crimes against humanity in the Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).” The week-long exhibition aims to showcase the experiences and struggles of the Kashmiri people, featuring images of reported human rights violations.

According to a news release by Press Information Department (PID), Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the EU, Amna Baloch, was the one to inaugurate the event. The photos on display aim to provide a visual documentation of alleged gross human rights violations in IIOJK, as reported by various entities including the UN Offices, INGOs, volunteers, and international media.

In her remarks, Ambassador Baloch emphasized the significance of October 27, indicating it as the day when India’s forces began their occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. She described it as the start of reported brutalities and atrocities against the inhabitants of IIOJK, actions which, according to her, continue today.

Ambassador Baloch called upon the international community to take note of and intervene in what she termed as “egregious human rights violations” committed in the region. The exhibition, she expressed, was an initiative to ensure visitors comprehend the extent of the reported human rights abuses taking place over decades. Furthermore, Ambassador Baloch stated that Pakistan remains committed to advocating for the Kashmiris at all available avenues. She concluded by highlighting Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of IIOJK, emphasizing the nation’s continuous moral, political, and diplomatic support towards their cause.
