Embassy of Japan in Islamabad Seeks Economic Cooperation Assistant for Rural Development Projects

Islamabad: The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan announced today the opening of a vacancy for an Economic Cooperation Assistant, focusing on managing the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). This role emphasizes the importance of rural development and requires frequent travel to field locations.

According to Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, the position will involve a range of responsibilities including the administration of grant applications, coordination of inquiries, and detailed reviews of project proposals. The successful candidate will also be expected to facilitate high-profile events such as grant contract signing and inauguration ceremonies.

This contract-based position is open to candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in project management. Applicants must possess proficiency in both English and Urdu, and have excellent computer, reporting, and interpersonal skills. The role offers a competitive salary starting from PKR 150,000, and includes benefits such as a daily allowance and reimbursement for field-related expenses.
