Islamabad, The Embassy of Japan in Islamabad has issued a notice regarding the application process for Japanese visas. The Embassy clarifies that all visa applications, except diplomatic and official visas, must be processed through VFS Global / Gerry’s Visa, the authorized service provider.

According to Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, visa applicants seeking information on requirements, bookings, and processing times should direct their inquiries to VFS Global / Gerry’s Visa at the provided contact points. The Embassy emphasized that direct applications will not be accepted, with the exception of diplomatic and official visa categories, to maintain efficiency and fairness in the visa issuance process.

The Embassy has also advised against requests for direct processing at the Embassy, as this could lead to delays and inefficiencies. Diplomatic and official visa applicants may still contact the Embassy directly via email for their specific application procedures.

Furthermore, the standard visa processing time is stated as six working days from the date of application through VFS Global / Gerry’s Visa, provided there are no issues with the application’s content. However, applicants are warned that incomplete documentation can result in longer processing times. In certain cases requiring extensive document examination, the processing period could extend to several months. Consequently, potential travelers are encouraged to apply well in advance of their planned travel dates.
