Electricity Tariff Reduction Gains Widespread Approval

Karachi: The Prime Minister’s recent announcement of a reduction in electricity tariffs has been met with widespread approval, according to Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal. Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Kamal highlighted the Pakistan Army’s role in facilitating this relief for the populace.

Kamal detailed those industries would benefit from a relief of 18 rupees per unit, a significant move amid ongoing inflation. He further noted that domestic consumers have already experienced a reduction of 10 rupees per unit since last June.

The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to a reform process aimed at benefiting the public. A circular debt of 2,300 billion rupees is targeted for elimination as part of these reforms.

In addition to discussing electricity tariffs, Kamal addressed improvements in health services. He assured that health facilities would become more accessible, with services provided directly to people’s homes.

Kamal also pointed out enhanced communication between federal and provincial health ministries. This collaboration supports ongoing campaigns to eliminate hepatitis and polio from the country.
