Islamabad, In a recent notification, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has called on all contestants of the General Elections 2024 to submit their campaign expense reports promptly. The Commission mandates the submission of these reports on Form-C within thirty days following the announcement of election results to maintain transparency and regulatory compliance in the electoral process.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan, this requirement is outlined under Section 134 of the Elections Act, 2017, emphasizing the accountability of candidates in declaring their election-related expenditures. The ECP’s reminder is directed at all candidates who participated in the general elections, specifying that failure to comply with this directive could result in legal consequences under sections 136(4) and 136(5) of the Act.
The ECP has made the necessary forms accessible on its official website, encouraging candidates to adhere to the stipulated timeframe to avoid potential penalties.
