Election Commission Accepts Nomination Papers of Zardari and Achakzai for Presidential Polls


Islamabad, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially accepted the nomination papers of Asif Ali Zardari and Mahmood Khan Achakzai for the forthcoming presidential elections. Zardari, a former president, is the nominee representing a coalition of allied parties, whereas Achakzai, a prominent political figure, has been put forward by the Sunni Ittehad Council.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this development marks a significant phase in the preparation for the presidential elections, indicating the readiness of both candidates to participate in the race for the country’s highest office.
