Srinagar: In a consecutive series of road accidents, at least eight Indian troops were injured in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This incident occurred just a day after another accident that resulted in one fatality and several injuries among the Indian forces.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the latest accident involved a bus carrying troops to Kokernag town. The vehicle overturned in the Dudkul area of the district on Wednesday evening. An Indian police official confirmed the injuries, stating that all affected personnel were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another tragic accident in the Mankote area of Rajouri, where one Indian army commando was killed and five others were injured. Their vehicle had skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge. The commandos were engaged in counterinsurgency operations at the time of the accident.
