Islamabad: In a notable crackdown on illegal gambling, Islamabad Capital Police’s Sihala police station team apprehended eight individuals and seized cash and gambling paraphernalia. According to Islamabad Capital Police, this operation came following directives from DIG Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, aiming to curb criminal activities in the city.
The police executed a raid on a gambling establishment, capturing the suspects in the act. Authorities have registered a case against the accused, with further investigations currently in process. DIG Islamabad emphasized the police’s responsibility to provide relief to citizens and pledged continued efforts to maintain public safety.
