Eight booked for demanding road connectivity in IIOJK

Srinagar, June 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least eight persons including four Sarpanchs and a government teacher have been booked in Bhaderwah area of Doda district in Jammu region for staging a protest for demanding road connectivity to their villages. These persons had staged the demonstration during an official visit of Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, on Friday to demand road connectivity to their respective villages.

An official told media that several locals of various panchayats of Bhaderwah had assembled on Bhaderwah-Pul Doda road and blocked the road at Kulshari, demanding road connectivity to their panchayats when Farooq Khan was on his way to Bhaderwah on an official visit to address public issues. The locals and sarpanchs have been booked under Epidemic Disease Act 1997 on the charges of violating Covid-19 restrictions imposed in the district.
