Srinagar, July 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Eid-ul-Azha celebrations continued though festivity is missing due to Indian military and police siege and restrictions in name of COVID-19 in the Kashmir valley.
The people were seen less distributing meat of sacrificed animals during their visits to relatives and friends. The authorities have warned that only those who are vaccinated should slaughter animals and distribute meat in view of named COVID-19 threat. The people, mostly children, remained indoor due to military siege, harassment of Indian forces and less visits were in local parks and other places.
Not a single local English and Urdu newspaper hit the stand due to Eid restrictions and harassment on media who are being ordered by Indian military and secret agencies not to publish human rights and military violence and anti-India news.
Though the social media was also monitored and restricted by Indian authorities and one who highlights any true ground news of IIOJK is arrested under black law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
