Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to extend greetings and best wishes to Muslims across Australia and around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Adha is a time for families to celebrate and communities to join together. It is also an occasion for us to contemplate the importance of self-sacrifice and charity.

Every year, on Eid-ul-Adha, we witness the immense generosity and kindness of Muslims around the world who take special care of those afflicted by hunger and poverty. In this regard, I wish to particularly acknowledge and commend the humanitarian services provided by our Pakistani-Australian community to their fellow citizens.

As we celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, I pray to Allah Subhana WA Ta’ala to accept our sacrifice, answer our prayers, and bless us with His mercy. May peace, joy and harmony embrace our lives today and forever?
