Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Celebrated Nationwide with Religious Fervor

Islamabad: Eid Milad-ul-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is being celebrated across Pakistan today with solemnity and religious enthusiasm. The day is marked by national and local events, including the National Seerat Conference in Islamabad and numerous Milad processions in cities nationwide, underpinning a unified commemoration.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the festivities began early with a 31-gun salute in the Federal Capital and 21-gun salutes in all provincial capitals. Special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the prosperity of Pakistan were held following the Fajr prayers, reflecting a day imbued with spiritual significance.

The main highlight is the National Seerat Conference in Islamabad, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, with live broadcasts by Radio Pakistan. This is complemented by Mahafil-e-Milad and processions throughout the country, where religious scholars emphasize the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), advocating adherence to his Sunnah.

Security measures have been tightened, especially in Quetta, where the procession will traverse from Saryab Road to Jamiat Roy Road. The provincial government has also banned pillion riding to ensure safety during the celebrations.
