Eid, cleaning and traffic arrangements, excess rent, one-wheeling, caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave targets to the administration and police

Lahore, April 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): The arrival of Eid-ul-Fitr, the best arrangements for cleanliness and traffic, collection of excess rent and prevention of theft, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has given targets to the administration and police. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered action against the transporter Zaka who collects excess fare from passengers and said that complaints of passengers regarding overcharging are not acceptable in any case. Indiscriminate action should be taken against transporters who collect excess fare. The officers of the transport department and administration should be present in the field.

Checking should be done at the bus stands and action should be taken on overcharging. He directed that the officials and administrative officers of the transport department should personally check and ensure action against those who charge more than the fixed fare. They will never allow charging more fare from the passengers. Where complaints are received, without discrimination. Action will be taken. Supervising Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that Eid holidays Citizens passing by during Murri should not face any kind of difficulties. It should be ensured that the entry of more than the specified number of vehicles in Murri should be prevented and measures should be finalized under an effective strategy to keep the traffic flowing. SOPs should be implemented and tourists should be guided moment by moment about the traffic situation.

He said that to prevent overcharging in hotels, the relevant staff should perform their duties diligently. Indiscriminate action should be taken against those looting in the name of parking. Mohsen Naqvi said that there will be no compromise on the quality of food and drink items. Food and drink items should be checked and action should be taken against those selling substandard items. The safety of children’s swings should be ensured in tourist places and parks. The quality of the swings in the parks should be checked and a regular certificate should be obtained. Senior administrative and police officers should supervise all arrangements themselves.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to take effective measures regarding the prevention of one-wheeling and said that there should be an indiscriminate crackdown on those doing one-wheeling. Special teams should be formed to stop one-wheeling. He said that those doing one-wheeling will be punished under the law. Proceedings against minors for driving a vehicle or a motorcycle.
