North Waziristan, Eid-ul-Fitr was marked by vibrant events and sports activities at tourist spots across North and South Waziristan, drawing large crowds, including thousands of children. The festivities, organized mainly by the Pakistan Army, featured traditional dances, boat trips, and various forms of entertainment aimed at boosting local tourism and community spirit.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the events in North Waziristan took place in the Razmak and Shawwal areas, where a significant number of tourists experienced a warm welcome from the Pakistan Army, police, and civil administration. Comprehensive security and other arrangements were ensured to facilitate the visitors. In South Waziristan, the celebrations centered around the Gomal Zam Dam, a popular local tourist spot, where approximately three thousand people enjoyed a festival that included traditional dancing and a highlighted boat trip.
Residents of both areas expressed gratitude towards the Pakistan Army for their efforts to maintain peace and enhance the region’s appeal as a safe and enjoyable destination for festivities, especially during significant cultural celebrations like Eid.
