Education Ministry Launches New School Initiatives Including Coding, AI, and Infrastructure Upgrades

Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has unveiled a series of innovative educational programs and infrastructure enhancements in Federal Directorate of Education Schools and Colleges for the upcoming academic session.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the newly announced programs are designed to integrate modern learning elements and life skills into the educational curriculum. These initiatives include the introduction of Coding and AI classes for primary students aimed at nurturing foundational skills necessary for future careers. Additionally, the curriculum for high school students will now encompass Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs intended to drive forward innovation and creative thinking.

Further expanding the educational horizon, the ministry is implementing a Character Building Curriculum that will emphasize values and personality development alongside the integration of financial literacy to equip students with vital life skills. To support this educational transformation, substantial infrastructure upgrades have been planned. These include a significant increase in smart classrooms across both urban and rural schools, facilitating a more interactive learning environment, and the establishment of Health Infirmaries in 125 schools to promote student health and wellness.

To improve accessibility and ensure safe transportation, the Ministry has also allocated twenty Pink Buses specifically for the use of female students and teachers commuting between rural and urban areas. Another noteworthy addition is the provision of High-Tech Telescopes in one hundred schools to enhance student engagement with astronomy. Furthermore, the ministry will offer six-month foreign language courses to one thousand five hundred students, broadening their linguistic abilities and cultural understanding.
