Islamabad, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has categorically dismissed media reports suggesting a delay in the upcoming elections. In a statement issued in Islamabad today, the ECP clarified that the rumors regarding the non-preparation of election lists are entirely unfounded and misleading.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP plans to approach PEMRA to initiate legal proceedings against those disseminating such false information. The Commission has also ordered the collection of transcripts and recordings of the news broadcast on various channels to support its case.
