Islamabad, In a decisive move to ensure the integrity of the electoral process, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered re-polling in six polling stations of the NA-43 constituency, encompassing areas in Dera Ismael Khan and Tank, scheduled for the upcoming Saturday. This directive comes as a response to previous disruptions caused by law and order issues, which hindered the polling process in these specific locations.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP’s decision aims to rectify the complications experienced during the initial polling phase, where disturbances attributed to security concerns prevented the electorate from casting their votes. This measure is part of a broader effort by the ECP to ensure that all eligible voters in the affected areas have a fair opportunity to participate in the democratic process, underscoring the commission’s commitment to conducting transparent and secure elections across Pakistan.
