Islamabad, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially allocated reserved seats for women in the National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to various political parties, based on the outcomes of the recent election results. This allocation process is part of Pakistan’s efforts to ensure gender representation in its legislative bodies.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) have been allocated one seat each. These seats are part of a quota system designed to enhance women’s participation in politics and decision-making processes at the national level.
This distribution of seats underscores the ECP’s commitment to maintaining a balanced and inclusive political landscape in Pakistan, promoting diversity and ensuring that women have a voice in the country’s governance.
