ECP Cracks Down on Election Code Violations Across Punjab and Khyber PakhtunkhwaPakistan’s Ambassador Meets Ugandan PM to Discuss Bilateral Relations

Karachi, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is actively enforcing its code of conduct in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, taking stringent measures against candidates who violate election rules. This includes issuing notices and fines to ensure compliance with the established guidelines.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP’s monitoring teams have been vigilant in identifying and addressing any breaches of the election code. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, actions have been taken against candidates for various violations. Similarly, in Punjab, monitoring teams have been equally active.

In Nankana Sahib, candidates have been warned for displaying Panaflex and billboards in violation of the code. The ECP’s intervention led to the removal of Panaflex and other promotional materials in Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sargodha, and Bhakkar. Additionally, unauthorized Panaflex hoardings were reported in Chiniot, Faisalabad, Nankana, Kasur, Lahore, and Multan.

The Provincial Election Commissioner of Punjab has issued strict instructions to District Monitoring Officers to ensure strict adherence to the election code of conduct. These measures are part of the ECP’s efforts to maintain the integrity and fairness of the election process across Pakistan.

Islamabad, Ambassador Syed Haider Shah, Pakistan’s head of delegation, recently met with Uganda’s Prime Minister Nabbanja Robinah to discuss matters of mutual interest, including bilateral trade.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting took place at Manyonyo Resort near Kampala, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit. Pakistan High Commissioner to Uganda Muhammad Hassan Wazir shared details of the meeting on his official X account.



The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Uganda, particularly in the area of trade. This meeting signifies the ongoing efforts of both nations to strengthen their relationship and explore new avenues for cooperation.
