ECP Cracks Down on Election Code Violations Across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Karachi, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is actively enforcing its code of conduct in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, taking stringent measures against candidates who violate election rules. This includes issuing notices and fines to ensure compliance with the established guidelines.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP’s monitoring teams have been vigilant in identifying and addressing any breaches of the election code. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, actions have been taken against candidates for various violations. Similarly, in Punjab, monitoring teams have been equally active.

In Nankana Sahib, candidates have been warned for displaying Panaflex and billboards in violation of the code. The ECP’s intervention led to the removal of Panaflex and other promotional materials in Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sargodha, and Bhakkar. Additionally, unauthorized Panaflex hoardings were reported in Chiniot, Faisalabad, Nankana, Kasur, Lahore, and Multan.

The Provincial Election Commissioner of Punjab has issued strict instructions to District Monitoring Officers to ensure strict adherence to the election code of conduct. These measures are part of the ECP’s efforts to maintain the integrity and fairness of the election process across Pakistan.
