ECP Committed to Conducting Free and Fair Elections, Says Caretaker Information Minister Solangi

Islamabad, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi affirmed that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is dedicated to fulfilling its responsibility of conducting free, fair, and transparent elections in accordance with Article 218 (3) of the constitution.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a media interaction today in Islamabad, Solangi emphasized the government’s support for the ECP in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. He highlighted the fundamental freedoms in Pakistan, noting that every individual has the right to express opinions, lodge complaints, and offer critiques.

Solangi also mentioned that the Prime Minister had informed the public about his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates through a video message, underscoring the government’s commitment to transparency and communication with the citizens.

The minister’s statements come at a crucial time for Pakistan’s democracy, as the nation prepares for upcoming elections. The ECP’s role in overseeing these elections is critical in maintaining the democratic process and ensuring that the voices of all Pakistanis are fairly represented.
