Islamabad: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has sanctioned 12 development projects valued at over Rs 380 billion.
During the meeting, projects encompassing agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, and climate resilience were given the green light. These initiatives are set to benefit regions across Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, underscoring the government’s focus on inclusive and sustainable national development.
The session was attended by a broad array of officials, including the Minister for Planning, the Senior Minister of Punjab, Sindh’s Minister for Irrigation and Food, KPK’s Advisor on Finance, and the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan. In addition, federal secretaries from the Cabinet and Planning, along with senior representatives from Finance, Energy, and relevant federal and provincial departments, participated in the meeting.
