ECC Approves Funding for Various Ministries and Projects


Islamabad, The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, led by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, approved multiple Technical Supplementary Grants (TSGs) in a recent meeting held at the Finance Division. The grants are intended to support a range of projects across various ministries.



According to Ministry of Finance, the ECC sanctioned funds for the Ministry of Interior, the Intelligence Bureau Division, and the Ministry of Law and Justice, among others. Notably, the Committee granted Rs. 4,050.686 million to the Strategic Plans Division/SUPARCO for the Pakistan Multi-Mission Communication Satellite System project. Additionally, a proposal from the Ministry of Industries and Production was approved to allow SNGPL-based plants to operate for six months, ensuring the supply of urea fertilizer for the upcoming Kharif season.



The meeting saw participation from multiple ministers including the Minister for Commerce, Minister for Power, and other high-ranking officials, reflecting the comprehensive review and approval process of the ECC for projects critical to national interests.
