Dukki: The Dukki Sports Department hosted a vibrant football tournament as part of the 77th Independence Sports Festival 2024, culminating in a victory for Gulshan Football Club Dukki in a keenly contested final.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the tournament, inaugurated by District Sports Officer Sajjad Haider Khajak, featured prominent local football teams. The final match saw Gulshan Football Club Dukki secure a narrow win over Phatan Football Club Dukki with a scoreline of one goal to nil. The event also included cricket matches and was attended by notable figures such as Master Haji Abdul Rahim, head of the District Cricket Association, and other local dignitaries.
At the tournament’s conclusion, awards were presented to the winning and runner-up teams in both football and cricket. Participants expressed their appreciation for the Sports Department’s efforts in organizing the event and lauded Officer Sajjad Haider Khajak for his dedication to enhancing sports culture in Dukki. They voiced hopes for more such events in the future to engage local youth in positive activities.
