Lahore, April 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Police Vehari has arrested the brutal killers of 16-year-old Asma who were killed in the name of honour within 24 hours. Spokesman for the Punjab Police said that the main accused (uncle) Raees Bhatti involved in the tragic incident was arrested by a special police team from Rawalpindi within 24 hours while a murder weapon was also recovered from the possession of accused.

DPO Vehari Tariq Aziz said that Punjab Chief Minister and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan had taken notice of the incident yesterday. Using modern technology, the police arrested 3 accused including the main accused. The main accused has made shocking revelations about the incident after his arrest. He had planned the murder together with three brothers.

After the murder, according to the plan, Rafiq became the plaintiff and the chief accused Rafiq had to pardon him a few days later. Police took timely action and arrested the three brothers. DPO Tariq Aziz further said that as per direction of IG Punjab, I am conducting the investigation of the case under my supervision and all the accused involved in this tragic incident will be declared and punished.
