Islamabad: In an unprecedented development, the Islamabad Traffic Police have reported a staggering 500% surge in the issuance of driving licenses. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, revealed that the surge is a result of citizens actively flocking to traffic offices and facilitation centers to secure driving licenses and learner permits.
This overwhelming increase is seen as a testament to the public’s strong confidence in the Islamabad Police. The department expressed profound gratitude for the trust placed in them by the community.
The CTO announced that October 7 has been set as the deadline for residents to obtain their licenses. In a move to enhance convenience, citizens are now able to acquire learner permits from their homes using the Islamabad Police E-Learner app. Services for obtaining learner permits are also accessible at the Faizabad head office, all facilitation centers, and 13 police stations throughout the city.
In addition, traffic police facilitation vans are being deployed to various neighborhoods, offering on-the-spot license services. CTO Humayun encouraged citizens to promptly obtain their licenses and demonstrate their responsibility as members of the community. He emphasized the continuous efforts of the department to deliver superior services to residents.
